MIDLAND CHANDLERS
We have been in operation for almost 30 years from our Penkridge base in Staffordshire. The founder of the business, Peter F Jones, began boat building in the early 1970's before acquiring Teddesley Boats in approx 1977, which would be involved in both boat building and hire. Ordering equipement from boat yards was a hit-and-miss affair and within two years of owning Teddesley the chandlery had expanded into a sizeable business of its own. In 1979 Midland Chandlers was well established and the rest you could say is history. Following Peter's retirement in 2006, we are pleased to advise that the business is still privately owned and shall continue the long-established traditions upon which it is founded.
The company now consists of three excellently stocked showrooms, enabling the boat builder to complete the job without delay, time is money! We carry a vast amount of stock, this we can only continue to do with your support, which is greatly appreciated.
We feel, over the years, our products have been tried and tested, we value customer feed back and will always endeavour to upgrade and introduce new products as and when they are made available to us. We will try to answer your questions, relating to the suitablility of goods you are purchasing, in house, however if we don't have the answer to hand we will usually know a man that does. That said, you can continue to shop with confidence............
DELIVERY
The prices quoted are in Sterling to UK Mainland only - PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE CARRIAGE - If you are ordering from outside the UK please email first with your enquiry. .
If the item is in stock we will despatch your order within 48 hours of payment clearing. We will notify you of any delay. Midland Chandlers will not be responsible for any loss whatsoever in the event of late delivery of goods. Late delivery will not be accepted as a breach of contract. Any loss or damage to the goods is to be reported within 24 hours after receipt. Midland chandlers will not be liable for shortages or defects that are not reported within 24 hours following the receipt of goods. Should the item you order not be available we will not send a substitute item without the buyers agreement.
PRICE
Prices are current at date of dispatch and inclusive of Value Added Tax. We reserve the right to amend prices without prior warning. Price excludes packaging and delivery.
CANCELLATION/RETURNS
Goods are required to be in excellent condition (as supplied) and of re-saleable quality in original packaging as supplied. Cancellation of orders for current stock items may incur charges. Payment in full is required for "special order" items, refunds for cancellation of these items will not be given. Goods accepted for return are at the risk of the BUYER. Following inspection the outward and inward costs, plus a handling fee of up to 20% may be deducted when considering a refund for the return of unwanted goods. We reserve the right to refuse a refund or acceptance of "special" ordered goods or returns due to change of mind!
WARRANTY
Should any material defect arise within a twelve month period following the date of invoice please contact Midland Chandlers in writing to enable a full investigation to determin the cause.
CARRIAGE
We will always endeavour to get the goods delivered in the most economical way, taking into consideration safe handling procedures and off course value. Royal Mail next day service "special delivery" will be charged at Royal Mail rates. Items of small value can be sent first class post via recorded delivery for less, if in doubt, please ask. Parcels above 2kgs upto 25kgs in weight will be sent via a next day carrier, currently @ £8.50 per consignment. For parcels outside of 25kgs groupage rates can obtained and thereafter pallatised goods are available from £25.00 per pallet, rates on request, please advise your post code. Delivery service is offered to UK mainland only, please make any other enquiries via email. Please be assured our policy is NOT to impose unnecessary, inflated carriage charges.
PAYMENT
We prefer to process your order manually due to carriage charges being added after packing, this enables us to charge carriage in the most economical way, instead of applying a blanket charge which may be unfare to a customer with a light weight parcel. After filling your shopping cart and checking out you then go to the SSL (encrypted) secure site, Note:- Your personal details are not held in a Midland Chandlers database.
Your carriage charge will be inline with the above quoted charges. Should there be any peculiarities we will advise or if necessary please email in advance we will make contact prior to despatch. Payment in full is required prior to despatch.
FORCE MAJEURE
Midland Chandlers shall not be liable to the Buyer if unable to supply any part of an order for any reason beyond its control including (without limitation) Act of God, Legislation, War, Civil Commotion, Fire, Flood, Drought, Failure of power supply, Lock out, Strike, Stoppage or other action by employees or third parties in contemplation or furtherance of any dispute or owing to any inablity to procure parts or materials required for the performance of the contract.
VALUE ADDED TAX (VAT)
All prices quoted are including vat.
